Hey friends! So it is now two years later that I am finally putting up my sons woodland mobile… ( I know, right when he wont need it anymore..) lol I am super late but its better late than never, right?! I even made this forever ago, I’m not too sure whats taken me so long, it probably has something to do with a million other things constantly going on. This mobile has been eyeing me, just waiting for me to put it in its place. Well your welcome mobile! You now are in your little spot. My son loves it and I am so happy because it doesn’t move so I wasnt sure if he would like it. I like to give it a little tap so it swings whenever I put him down and thats really all he needs. DIY woodland mobile for the WIN!
I bought the animals and wood pieces at Michaels but ill link some from amazon that I found for you. (The links are afiliate links but you are not charged for buying them from here).
Diy woodland mobile
What you’ll need:
Embroidery Hoop ( 8″)
(Optional) Wood Pieces
Step 1: Cut string to different size lengths.
Step 2: Glue animals (and wood) onto string by putting a drop of glue onto back of animal or top of wood, push string into glue and hold in place until the glue dries. (Make sure to keep the string up right in place until the glue hardens).
Step 3: Open embrodiary hoop and glue string 4.5 inches apart let dry. Repeat until all are in place and dry.
Step 4: Close embrodiary hoop and vola!
I chose to hang the mobile from the ceiling.
*To do this, before closing the circle, cut strings long enough to hang (4 pieces) but not too long where LO can pull them down, glue evenly spaced out, tie at the top, put hook into ceiling, and attach onto hook.*
Leave me a comment with your mobile or any questions!
